Meet your webmaster- Bob Masterson

" The Masterson Clan " - Belma, Me, Bobby and Darien on a resent trip to the New Bedford Lightship in New Bedford, Ma. My wife, Carol, is taking the picture.

I grew up in Massachusetts, but made my home here in Florida after 6 years of Naval Service. While in the Navy, I served aboard the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) and the USS Saratoga (CV-60). I was assigned to the AIMD group and worked in the VAST shop repairing avionics for the airwing.

I have been modeling since I was old enough to use the paint and glue. I build both plastic and wood models, perferably aircraft or ships. I have been an avid R/C modeler almost as long! I am a volenteer member of the Deland Golden Hawks R/C Aircraft club, a member of Gateway R/C model aircraft club of Jacksonville, a charter member of the Scale Ship Modelers Association of North America (SSMA) , a member of the AMA and a Past- President, Vice- President, and Secratatry of the North Florida ORCAS model boat club.

I currently am employed by ADT Security and am a Commercial Technician installing Burglar, Fire, CCTV and Access Control systems for large Industrial and Goverment firms.

I am Married to a wonderful (and patient when it comes to building this site!) woman , Carol, have three sons, Bobby, Darien, and Colt, and a daughter, Belma who is from Bosnia. We also have a dog, Louie,  a cat, Ginger,  and a Horse named Poncho.

Located in Jacksonville, Florida, we hold a general meeting once a month and sail our R/C watercraft a few times a month at our own Lake as well as other R/C club Lakes in the area. If you are interested in model boating, or would like to come and see us at one of our Fun Sails, click on the ORCAS link for more information.
